I published my first #TMP audio podcast today.
I simply shared the secret to getting started on the podcast, it might just be easier than you think. The only way to listen to the podcast is through my Facebook Messenger bot.
A wise man once said that it is insanity to continuously do the same thing and yet expecting different results. Although I have enjoyed updating this blog every single day since I started out in 2014, but after about 2 years of writing, it was time to improve.
I had now cemented my place as someone that could consistently generate content, it was time for a new task: taking the content to the masses.
The goal of my writings is not just for writing, I write and speak inorder to effect change in the world. I have since developed new channels to broadcast my content, asides from #TMP.
I now have a Facebook Messenger Bot, a Whatsapp group and a Facebook group that is picking steam. This is a better position than when it was just #TMP.
I believe I have a message, a real one, and I want to ensure that more people get a chance to listen to it.
I want to ring the bells of youth empowerment.
I want to ring the bells of innovation.
I want to ring the bells of excellence.
I want to ring the bells of wealth creation.
It is time to go to town.
And so, I have created a new content schedule to help me:
Going forward, my Messenger bot will be the #1 place to keep track of my content and activities. I will only email 1-2 times per week.
I am grateful you have followed me this far, it is time to take a step further and move the party to Messenger.
Digital marketing is hot.
Well, it has always been hot to say the truth. In 2017, I do not see how you can make any meaning impact – either locally or internationally without using some forms of digital marketing.
This past weekend, I facilitated 2 major training programs in the digital marketing space and so, this morning, I would like to share the resources I used with you.
Here you go:
I am sure you will find them relevant, regardless of which stage you might be.
This should keep you busy for a while.
Don’t forget to take action.
I spent the weekend on training.
I led a training on Digital Marketing on Saturday in Akure (South-West Nigeria) and on Saturday night/Sunday afternoon, I led another set of people on Mobile Marketing training.
I trained over 200 people this weekend alone.
As I spoke and explained these concepts to my audience, my mind traveled back 5 – 7 years ago, back then certain people organised loads of seminars and training programmes. As an upcoming business minded young man, I attended many of them.
These fantastic, smooth talkers would come around and train us, boasting about their business prowess while spilling out wisdom for us to adopt.
Less than 10 years later…. they have all faded away.
Some of them duped several clients and disappeared from town. Others simply collapsed into irrelevance. One of the more prominent gentlemen then has simply vanished from the frontiers.
He is alive and well and sometimes pretend its not over, but really… he is no longer making impact. Sadly, it seems his best days are already behind. He is less than 30 years old.
So, as I trained people over the weekend, I just kept praying and asking God for mercy and grace.
10 years of trying to make a ruckus in the community, 10 years of trying to make people better versions of themselves….
How many of us are left? How many of us remain committed to the cause?
Am I for real, or will I also fade away?
Things sometimes need to get messy before they can get better and greater.
If one is not encountering new challenges and obstacles, I fear the fellow is not trying to make any serious advancement.
There is a lot of chaos right now at my HQ as we restructure so that we can serve more people this year, this is taking its toll on things like #TMP and other projects.
I am not happy that #TMP’s delivery has been sporadic, but really until the chaos is all sorted out around here, there is little I can do.
What I do know is that chaos precedes order. If things do not become chaotic, they cannot really improve.
My goal for 2017 is to increase my reach, impact and earning over 10x what it was last year. This was never going to be an easy feat…
It has required a lot of learning, a lot of trusting and a lot of restructuring that has really gotten things all out-of-place temporarily.
I am confident everything will start working more efficiently again. Chaos does precedes order, isn’t it?
Man’s limited time is probably his greatest flaw.
People want to get so much done in so little time. Most times, it does not work out. Some things just take time and we have to learn to embrace it.
When I was younger, I was always in a hurry… I had so many ideas and I was not ready to bury them and so, I simply built them as fast as I could and push hard for a few weeks, even months and then when it is not moving as fast as I want it, I zoom off.
I could never see myself investing a lot of time in a small project.
As I have grow wiser now, I see my folly in reverse.
Things take time to make sense.
In 2017, I have decided to patiently grow my training and empowerment network, evolving a little bit more each day and I am content with whatever comes out of it – no matter how little.
You might be able to learn a bit from this: some things take time. You need to give some projects time for them to enter their maturity.
We cannot fast forward everything.
There are critical life lessons you cannot learn in a hurry. You will have to calm down and really learn how things work.
Reading through the Physics textbook in a single day or week does not mean you have mastered the content and should be handed a Ph. D in Physics, does it?
If Aliko Dangote gave you every single book he read and you finished reading them within 2 -3 weeks, does that make you a seasoned entrepreneur? Definitely not.
Strap in for the long haul and settle down…. these things will take a while before it begins to make sense.
The sooner you embrace this mindset, the better.
The best way to learn about Entrepreneurship is not books or seminars and all those events.
It is by going to work with an Entrepreneur for a few years. Maybe like 3 to 5 years.
Count yourself blessed if you some how find your in a place where you are among the first 5 people working with the Entrepreneur. Directly with the visioner of the company.
If you work with a pioneer in your life, the chances that you are going to pioneer something in your own life is great.
Doesn’t leadership begin with followership?
If you serve that Entrepreneur with all of your heart for the few years you are there, by the time you are leaving, you will be equipped to tackle any challenge you may encounter on your own road.
Anything that will become great must become a daily affair. There is no shortcut.
Many people have dreams and goals and vision…. but they review it every now and then, and so, much progress is not been made.
The best performers in life, business, ministry, sports, all forms of entertainment are people who put in the work and grind daily.
Every single day, you must go out there and make moves towards your goals.
Don’t do it once a year.
Don’t do it once a month.
Don’t do it weekly.
Every day, try to make moves towards fulfilling the vision.
I have been off-air for a few weeks, sorting out business and making some strategic re-adjustments in order to serve you better. It is safe to declare that we are back fully to regular programming.
Folks just want to get ahead with their goals in life, business, ministry and relationships.
Technically inclined people love to flaunt their technical super powers in the face of people that are mostly uninterested… We just want to know how your skills can help us achieve our set goals.
Technicians that go ahead to win, always succeed in terms of been able to express in clear terms how their skills can help.
Am I able to clearly express how I can use my skills to help people achieve their goals?
Seek to clarify your message. Make it laser sharp.
When I called to say I was canceling my event, people thought I was finally losing it.
I had spent a lot of time and resources into organising the event and when it was time for full publicity to start, I rather announced I was no longer going ahead.
This is why: these days, the first task you have to do is to develop (or borrow) a platform, if you are in it for the long haul, you need to build a platform. There is simply no other way to effectively find and connect with the people you seek to serve.
You have to erect that lighthouse in the midst of the dark seas, that men may find you and draw near.
A lot of organisation still invest so much money and resources into events, yet, without having a platform that ties it all together… it is all a waste in the long term.
This is 2017, get to work. Build a Platform.
Do you already have a platform? Are you currently building one? Talk to me. (Just hit the reply option)
Do I have a long term platform in place that I am growing with everything I do?
Get to work, build a platform
